The product presented here is suitable for all types of resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads, and can also be used to drive LEDs. The board is built using 2 x VN5025AJ chips which are monolithic devices made using STMicroelectronics VIPower technology. It is intended for driving resistive or inductive loads with one side connected to the ground. Active VCC pin voltage clamp protects the device against low energy spikes. This device integrates an analog current sense which delivers a current proportional to the load current (according to a known ratio) when CS_DIS is driven low or left open. When CS_DIS is driven high, the CURRENT SENSE pin is in a high impedance condition. Output current limitation protects the device in overload conditions. In case of long overload duration, the device limits the dissipated power to a safe level up to thermal shut-down intervention. Thermal shut-down with automatic restart allows the device to recover normal operation as soon as the fault condition disappears.

This power load switch project provides a simple and inexpensive method for power control. It is intended for driving a resistive or inductive load. A TTL logic signal from the system turns the load switch ON and OFF. The project consists of a low ohm N-Channel Power Trench MOSFET FDB0300N1007L and Gate driver MAX5048 chip.  The load can be controlled by applying a PWM signal or Logic input.

Optically Coupled Power MOSFET Relay with Galvanically Isolated Current Monitor Output

This project employs CPC1718J 100V Single-Pole, Normally Open DC-Only Power Relay and ACS71240 Galvanically Isolated Current Sensor IC with Common-Mode Field Rejection and Overcurrent Detection. The board can be used for applications such as industrial controls, motor control, robotics, and electronics switching. The relay is normally open and requires a 3.3V to 5V input signal to operate with a maximum operating load power supply of 100V DC, and load up to 6.75A without a heatsink and 17.5A with a heatsink

This  is a two-channel infrared remote ON/OFF switch that can be used to control home appliances, Lights, Fans, Water Pumps, Aquarium pumps, Ovens, Heaters, etc. This open-source project contains 2 x SSR (Solid State Relay), Arduino Nano, and TSOP1838 infrared receiver, keeping safety in mind, optically isolated SSR (Solid State Relay) is used to have isolation between high voltage AC circuitry and Arduino Nano. The operation of the circuit is pretty simple, TSOP1838/TSOP38238 IR Sensor receives the infrared signal from IR remote, Arduino Nano decodes the IR signal which is connected to digital pin D2 and provides latch outputs on digital pins D5, and D6 in respect to IR code received from IR remote. These two digital outputs D5, D6 drive the SSR using 2 x BC847 BJT transistors. CPC1998J optically isolated solid-state relays from IXYS Integrated Circuits drive the AC loads. We have tested this board with 500W/230V AC lamps, however, the load capacity of SSR is 20A. A snubber circuit is provided across the SSR-Traic which helps driving inductive loads. Heat-sink on SSR is not required for loads up to 5A, but for higher load, it is advisable to mount a heatsink on SSR.

Product presented here enables users to switch all kinds of resistive, inductive and capacitive loads, limited by clamping energy (EAS) and maximum current requirement. The user may interface 2 x inductive, resistive, and capacitive loads such as solenoid, dc motor, high current contact switch, high current relay, LEDs, lamps, and piezo etc. The project is most suitable for inductive loads as well as loads with inrush current. The project has been designed using  BTF3050TE IC which is a  50 mΩ single-channel Smart Low-Side Power Switch in a  PG-TO252-5 package providing embedded protective functions. The power transistor is built by a N-channel vertical power  MOSFET. The device is monolithically integrated. The BTF3050TE is automotive qualified and is optimized for 12V automotive and industrial applications. Two loads can be controlled using  Arduino UNO. IC has a thermal-restart function. The device will turn on again, if input is still high, after the measured temperature has dropped below the thermal hysteresis.
