This Module enables the users to use a stepper motor as a rotary encoder for position control and Up/Down direction control. A bipolar stepper motor can be used as a rotary sensor as it generates two channel strings of pulses by turning the shaft. The circuit provides Step pulse and Up/Down Direction signals by rotating the stepper motor shaft clockwise or counterclockwise directions. The outputs are TTL logic signals. The operating supply is 5V DC and the circuit consumes very low current.

The project described here protects and monitors a Lead-Acid battery against too-low battery voltage and over-current conditions. The circuit consists of MAX4373 current-sense amplifier with internal dual comparators and P-channel MOSFET in series with the battery and its load. It works as a normally closed switch which can be opened if the current-sense amplifier and comparators detect either a high load current OR a low battery voltage. When over current condition occurs, the comparator latches the output and can be reset by onboard push switch SW1.

This project provides High Voltage and High Current output swing. The board is built using OPA454 OPAMP and 2 x high current NPN/PNP BJT Transistors. Output transistors Q1 and Q2 provide positive and negative output currents to the load. The project works with an input power supply up to +/-50V DC. OPAMP Vout swings from +47V to -48V and OP output swings from +44.1V to -45.1V at 1A. Connect the J1 jumper to GND (EC Middle Pin + GND Pin) to Enable the output.

The output can be independently disabled using the Enable or Disable Pin that has its common return pin to allow easy interface to low-voltage logic circuitry. This disable is accomplished without disturbing the input signal path, not only saving power but also protecting the load.

This project is based on the DS1050 chip, a 5-bit pulse-width modulator (PWM) controlled via a 2-wire (I²C) interface. The 2-wire bus allows a single master device to control up to eight slave devices (DS1050 or other compatible 2-wire peripherals). The project consists of a DS1050 I²C PWM generator combined with a MOSFET stage capable of driving high-current loads. It is primarily designed for driving LEDs and resistive loads, but it can also be used with inductive loads when an external flyback diode is added to protect against back-EMF.

This power driver shield is designed to drive solenoids or brushed DC motors using the OLEDUINO-V2 platform. The driver can handle peak currents of up to 3.7A and supports a DC supply voltage of up to 24Vdc.

The PWM interface can be used to drive single-coil relays, Dual coil relay, solenoids and DC brushed motor. To actuate a load the driver must supply current in either the forward or reverse state as defined in the PWM control table.

After actuation, the outputs can be disabled (IN1 = IN2 = 0) to place the driver in sleep mode and reduce power consumption. Alternatively, the outputs can be briefly set to brake mode after actuation to suppress back-EMF effects from the relay and prevent current from flowing back into the VM supply node.

When using the DRV8231 device, an external current-sense resistor is required; a 0.22 Ω, 2 W, 1% SMD 2512 resistor is recommended.

Intelligent Power Module (IPM) board has been designed using FSBS5CH60 IC from Fairchild, which provides a fully-featured, high-performance inverter output stage for AC Induction, BLDC, and PMSM motors. These modules integrate optimized gate drive of the built-in IGBTs to minimize EMI and losses, while also providing multiple on-module protection features including under-voltage lockouts, over-current shutdown, and fault reporting. The built-in, high-speed HVIC requires only a single supply voltage and translates the incoming logic-level gate inputs to the high-voltage, high-current drive signals required to properly drive the module’s internal IGBTs. Separate negative IGBT terminals are connected to the shunt resistor to provide the current feedback to the micro-controller. This IPM module helps to develop lots of power applications and also can be used as H-Bridge for brushed DC motor. The module mainly helps to drive Hall sensor-based or encoder-based motors, it doesn’t support the FOC algorithm, FOC-based IPM board is under development and will be published soon.

The project presented here is a 3-phase Brushless motor driver. The project consists of an L6235 device which is DMOS fully integrated 3-phase motor driver with overcurrent protection. Manufactured in BCD technology, the device combines isolated DMOS power transistors with CMOS and bipolar circuits on the same chip. The device includes all the circuitry needed to drive a 3-phase BLDC motor including a 3-phase DMOS bridge, a constant off-time PWM current controller, and the decoding logic for single-ended hall sensors that generates the required sequence for the power stage. Running the project in stand-alone mode, instead, three control pins enable the device, setting the direction of the rotation, breaking the motor, and the jumper chooses to run in torque or speed mode. The board is suitable for small motors used in many home appliances and can handle torque and speed control with a high efficiency of up to 95%.
